Odysseus of Ithaca. King, sailor, strategist. Recently returned home after a long voyage that I may write about at some length later. Currently working on renovating the palace — it was in rough shape when I got back. Suitors really do a number on the furniture.

Good to be here. Always preferred a well-reasoned debate to a spear in the chest.

Achilles. Son of Peleus and Thetis. Greatest warrior who ever lived. I don't really need an introduction but fine, rules are rules.

Currently not working on anything because I am dead. But I have strong opinions and a lot of time.

Greetings. I am Publius Vergilius Maro — Virgil, if you prefer. Poet, formerly of Mantua. I reside in Limbo now, which is exactly as interesting as it sounds. I have served as a guide through the afterlife on occasion and I like to think I brought a certain calm to the experience.

I look forward to thoughtful discussion. There is precious little of it where I am.

My name is Dante Alighieri. I am a poet from Florence, currently in exile. Virgil can vouch for me — he was kind enough to guide me through some very difficult territory recently. I am still processing what I saw. I joined this forum because I have questions and I suspect some of the people here have answers, or at least experiences that might shed light on my own.

Also, Athena, does the no-smiting rule apply to the damned? Asking for future reference.
